A special welcome for new families: It’s great news to hear that you are thinking about sending your child to RMC! Overnight camp can be a big decision. We want to encourage you that for over 35 years, families have told us how important camp ends up being to their camper and family. Please read all the wonderful quotes on our website from current camp families to hear more. We will help you along the way! We will have a Zoom call with other new campers/families before camp and give you updates during the week of camp. We can’t wait to welcome you into the RMC family! Email camp@rmhcphilly.org if you have any questions about the application or camp.
The shared experience of having been through a cancer diagnosis and treatments puts us all in a club we never wanted to be in. Having this retreat and place where there can be total acceptance of wounds still healing is truly a gift. We feel cared for as a family, knowing how lucky we are to be able to send our children together so they can experience this from both sides - sibling and survivor. Ultimately, it’s just an awesome camp!" -A grateful caregiver
We believe that camp changes lives and we are thrilled to offer an in-person, overnight camp to over 100 families each summer!
Independence skills…self-esteem…friends who’ve been through the same…emotional recovery from treatment…social skills…fun activities…fresh air…confidence
-some of the many benefits of attending camp!
