CHOP Employee Drives Patients to and From Hospital

We want to shine a spotlight on our friend Bobby! Bobby has been volunteering at the House for a little over a year, driving our guest families to and from the hospital in our shuttle van. He works evening shifts multiple times a month.  As a CHOP employee working in a research center, Bobby doesn’t have many opportunities at work to interact directly with patients and their families. Volunteering at the House gives him this opportunity.

Bobby shares, “Volunteering as a Ronald McDonald House shuttle driver over the past year has been an amazing and inspiring experience. I’m inspired by the families every time I get to serve. They are all amazing. Many of them are going through unknown or difficult situations, often far away from their normal lives, but have always been so positive and kind to me. I’m so grateful for them each time I make the loop from the House to the hospital. Volunteering at RHMC allows me to make a real difference for them.”
