The Adopt A Room partnership program allows you, your company, or your organization to be the room sponsor of a guest room at one of our two Houses—Chestnut Street or Front & Erie. Your funding will support the housekeeping and maintenance of that room and thereby provide a clean and comfortable space for all the families who will stay in that room for a whole year.
By partnering with our Adopt A Room program, you are doing more than making sure families have a place to sleep each night—as important as that is. You are making it easier for children to get the treatment they need and have their families close by their side, every step of the way. You are eliminating many of the financial challenges that come with traveling long distances for medical care, so that parents can focus on their child’s treatment. You are also providing parents with the support and rest they need to be there for their seriously ill children and their siblings.

For Sasha Sutherland and her family, RMHC Philly became a second home. For over 200 nights and eight stays, it was where they found comfort and hope as her daughter, Kalia, underwent months of hospital care at CHOP.
During 2024, more than 1,759 families stayed at our two Ronald McDonald Houses for a total of over 46,000 nights. About half of these families (60%) were from our local area, traveling from throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey for their children to receive world-class pediatric care. In total, we welcomed families from all 50 states, including Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and 36 international countries. Of these families, 45% reported receiving some form of public assistance while facing their child’s medical journey. The average stay at RMHC Philly is 22 nights, but nearly 16% of our guests stayed with us for at least 30 days, with 16% staying for 100 days or more.
